  4. About the Sample Extensions

  6. Extension Shell comes with six sample Extensions (all of which are fairly pointless), intended to be used as templates for your own Extensions. Each Extension has been chosen to illustrate one or more aspects of Extension Shell - the particular details are described in the relevant Read Me files. The six samples are:

  8. • Bell Test. Selecting "About..." from the Apple menu will play a sound.
  9.  
  10. • CircleMouse ][. Rotates the cursor in a tight circle when the mouse button is pressed. Put the Caps-Lock key on to stop the rotation.

  12. • MacCough. Coughs every 10 seconds.
  13.  
  14. • Quadra INIT. Selecting "About this Macintosh..." from the Finder's Apple menu will display a machine type of Quadra 950.

  16. • Shutdown Fade. Fades all attached displays slowly to black on shutdown.
  17.  
  18. • WhatKey. Displays every character typed on the keyboard to the left of the Apple menu.
